Book a prenatal massage in GenevaFrequently asked questions
From which month of pregnancy can I receive a prenatal massage?
Prenatal massage is recommended from the second trimester (after 12 weeks). As the first trimester is a sensitive period, we prefer to wait until the pregnancy is well established. If in doubt, consult your midwife or gynaecologist.
Is prenatal massage safe for the baby?
Yes. The techniques used are specifically adapted to pregnancy — gentle pressures, comfortable side-lying positions, sensitive areas avoided. It is a recognised and safe treatment, provided by a trained and certified therapist.
What position is used during the massage?
You are positioned on your side (lateral position), supported by ergonomic cushions. This position protects the belly and back while allowing a complete and deeply relaxing massage.
Is prenatal massage covered by insurance?
Yes. Adriaesthetic is ASCA and RME certified. Prenatal massage falls within the scope of therapeutic treatments reimbursable by most Swiss complementary insurance plans. Check with your insurer for specific coverage conditions.
